Welcome to the April newsletter.

Spring is in the air <> , and today is the warmest day Denmark has had this year so far. What a lovely time of year, you can feel the days are getting longer by the day. That’s one of the things I like the most with the Danish summer, the long evenings with daylight until 10-11 a clock at night, it is like there is so much more time to do things, like going for a walk along the beach or catch up with some friends over a drink or a BBQ, or go and kick a ball with the kids, lovely.

What do you like the most about the summer in Denmark <> ? feel free to tell us and our readers about it here.

Legoland opens for the 2011 season today,
the 2nd of April.

During the winter Legoland Billund has been extended with a Star Wars section at Miniland, where you can find X-Wing fighter and a lot of other models from the Star Wars movies, all made from Lego bricks.

The Star Wars area takes up 420 square meters and there are 2 thousands LEGO Star Wars models, some of them over 2 meters tall.

At least now I know what all the staff are doing during the winter when they are closed at Legoland Billund, playing with Lego.

Due to the Star Wars extension at the park all kids can get in to Legoland for free today, if they are dressed up like a Star Wars figure.

Read more about Legoland Billund here.

Shortage on holiday houses.

The Germans are back on the holiday market after the recovery from the global recession.

After a couple of years with empty holiday houses on the market during peak season, everything is rented out during the peak season this year and there are a need for more holiday houses on the market in Denmark

The Danish Tax office has from this year made it easier for people to rent out their holiday houses in Denmark. From this year the first 20,000 DKR of your income from renting out your holiday house will be Tax-free, that way they hope more people with a holiday house, sitting empty, will rent out their house.

The tourists coming to Denmark
to have a taste of the Danish beer.

The visits to Carlsberg Brewery has gone up with 25% over the last 12 months

Maybe because of the free beer tastings after the visit to the Carlsberg Brewery, but 157.500 tourists visited the Brewery during the last year, read more about Carlsberg Brewery here.
