Samso a Danish paradise island.

Never get so busy that you forget making a life.

Samso or as they call it in Denmark "Samsø" and the surrounding sea invites to a wonderful blend of relaxation in calm surroundings as well as more active experiences.

The island is a gem in the middle of Denmark and easy to get to from Jutland as well as Sealand.
It has a unique nature and is also the only island in Denmark with renewable energy.

The beaches vary from child-friendly beaches with low water to more stony stretches and excellent fishing possibilities. At any beach the water is crystal-clear and thanks to the 120 kilometre long stretch of coast, the beaches are never crowded.

Samsø covers an area of 114 square kilometres and offers scenery of indescripable beauty and variety, inviting many experiences and activities.

The island’s power is supplied by 11 windmills placed south off the island, the shire has invested in half of the windmills and the rest is privately owned.
On a day with no wind the island draws power from the mainland but over all they send more power the other way.
The heating on the island is provided from solar energy and from the underground.
