Not the recipe I have used for over 40 years.
1 qt milk
3 tbs sugar
1 cup long grain rice
Cook slowly over low heat, stirring constantly.
When thick, cool down.
Add 1/3 cup sherry, 3 tsp vanilla extract and 1 cup ground almonds.
Stir together.
Whip 1 cup whipping cream and fold in.
Serve with pitted sour cherries.
This recipe is over 40 years old.
Actually got it from my grandmother and that makes it over a 100 years old.
BTW, I was born in Denmark.
